Logis le Fleuray

Recently took a group of friends/customers & stayed 5 nights. Hotel is lovely,very good restaurant for both dinner & breakfast. Excellent & friendly owners,lovely rooms (garden rooms)& great swimming pool. A little remote yet an ideal base for touring this part of the Loire Valley.

This is a really pleasant comfortable hotel. It isn’t in Cangey nor even Fleuray. Quickest way is via Autrecht and Dame Marie des Bois. The room price is lower than you might expect for this quality, presumably to reduce commissions paid for booking companies (Always book direct, anyway). You also pay for the room in effect by the cost of breakfast 15€ and dinner (3 course menu 45€), but taken all together, it is very good value. I would have preferred a wider choice on the standard dinner menu (choose from three starters, two main courses ((one is always fish)) and two desserts). (You can order the same courses individually.) The standard of cooking and service is high. Each course is elaborately decorated, but the portions are small. Vegetables usually consisted of a small purée beside the meat or fish. Generally the food was warm rather than hot. They could invest in some cloches. Breakfast was the same price whatever you ate. There was a wide choice of hot and cold food, including muesli, freshly squeezed orange juice, bacon, sausages, scrambled egg, ham, cheese, yoghurts and, of course, croissants and brioches. The pool was clean and refreshing. The rooms were also clean, serviced daily and well furnished. The staff were friendly and helpful. All in all, this is a high-quality, well-run hotel. It is well positioned for Chenonceau, Chambord and Villandry.

I organised a trip of 22 people and 11 old cars to this hotel in 2020. We finally made it in 2022. Throughout the siblings who run this hotel could not have been more helpful. When we finally arrived the food was fabulous, the welcome warm and I received nothing but praise from my party. A lovely hotel in a great setting and location.

I stayed in this hotel one night in April 2022 and again one night in the month following. The hotel is a bit off the beaten track, and that makes it all the more enjoyable. It is not a chain hotel, but instead has its own charm. The hotel is relatively new and consists of the main building and annex. In the garden there is a swimming pool, a spa, and some nice areas to sit. The rooms are well appointed with good beds and showers. The first time we only arrived at midnight, so we did not really get a chance to explore the hotel since we were driving off again the following day to head for Bordeaux. On the way back we sat in the garden and enjoyed a glass of wine in the afternoon, and in the evening we had dinner in the restaurant sitting outside on the terrace. The food was really good, the service matched, and they had a good wine selection. The view over the landscape was great, and it was enjoyable to be away from the city, the city lights and the noise that goes with it. The reception was very efficient and friendly and all went well. We would definitely go there again.

On adore y aller et on y trouve ce que tout le monde attend d’un hôtel restaurant : - Une équipe motivée pour s’occuper de la clientèle. - Une propreté partout : chambres, restaurant, piscine, jardins, parking… - Un grand confort dans les chambres - La mise à disposition de linges de toilettes en quantité et qualité - Produits de toilettes - Une grande table au restaurant avec là aussi un chef qui sait trop bien cuisiner. - Le grand calme

Arrivés en fin d'après-midi, nous demandons si des chambres sont disponibles (après avoir vérifié sur leur site de réservation). On nous propose d'office une chambre à 172 euros alors que des chambres moins chères étaient disponibles, et, de plus, que des tarifs plus avantageux étaient proposés sur le site de réservation pour un "last minut". L'intérêt du client ne semble pas faire partie des habitudes de la maison. Lors de l'échange avec la réception à ce sujet, vous êtes considérés comme simplets s'il ne vous vient pas immanquablement l'idée de passer via leur site de réservations en ligne, moins onéreux. L'ajustement de prix n'a, à aucun moment, été proposé. Réservez en ligne ou passez votre chemin ... Service distant, restauration chère et décevante : un show off estampillé "top chef" mais où seul l'aspect compte au grand détriment du goût. Une assiette simple n'est pas synonyme de tristesse. Cette dernière ne se ressent qu'au moment de l'addition.
